Becky Hannon and Conor McIntyre have become the latest duo to leave the Big Brother house following Friday night’s double eviction.
While Becky was booted out of the house as a result of the latest public vote, which saw her lose out to fellow nominees Deana Uppal, Luke Anderson and Ashleigh Hughes, Conor left after winning the White Room challenge over Luke Scrase.
And after being given the chance to win £50,000 provided he left the house immediately, the Irishman chose to take the money and go.
Becky – who was the only housemate not to enter the house on opening night, having later been voted in as a wildcard – told Brian Dowling afterwards that she was not surprised to have been voted out.
“I expected to leave,” the 19-year-old said. “I’ve been a gossip and probably people don’t like that.”
And she admitted that she had probably gone too far with some of her comments to other housemates, saying, “Some of the stuff I do genuinely regret saying. It’s just so intense in there.”
Conor, meanwhile, also admitted that he had overstepped the mark at times, particularly during his fight with Deana which attracted over 1,000 complaints from viewers and has prompted an Ofcom probe.
Describing himself as a “complete and utter mouthpiece”, he apologised for his comments, adding, “It was complete anger.”
Next week will see the last eviction ahead of this year’s final, with six housemates remaining to battle it out for the series title.
The remaining housemates are Deana, Ashleigh, Luke A, Scott Mason, Sara McLean and Luke Scrase – who has won himself an automatic place in the final as a result of his participation in the White Room task.
