Jade Goody has been moved out of intensive care following a successful operation to remove a cancerous tumour from her bowel.
Surgeons at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital took a golf ball-sized lump from the reality TV star during a lengthy procedure last Friday (February 6).
The former Big Brother star, whose cervical cancer has spread despite treatment, has now been moved to a normal ward.
Jade’s spokesman said: “She is in good spirits.”
Her boyfriend Jack Tweed – who was recently released from prison where he was serving a sentence for an assault conviction – is planning to spend Valentine’s Day at Jade’s bedside, reports the Daily Mirror.
He said: “I can’t spend the evening with her because of my tag. But I’ll be doing something special for her.”
Mother-of-two Jade, who has vowed to keep fighting to stay alive for sons Bobby Jack, five, and Freddie, four, was expected to be given a new drug in an attempt to combat her spreading illness.
