Adventure and Entertainment Ideas for Stag Parties

Adventure and Entertainment Ideas for Stag Parties

The traditional approach to stag parties may seem a less than civilised affair, largely consisting of drunken antics and handcuffing the unfortunate stag on a train headed for Minsk the night before the wedding. However, the desire to seek something a touch more engaging continues to evolve into an increasingly lucrative market.

Many stag parties now look to a weekend of experience and adventure (with a pint or five along the way, granted), but with so many options available up and down the UK, it may be difficult to select which one will be the best for your party.

Here are some activity suggestions for your stag weekend.

Football VIP experiences

A day out at the football may not necessarily seem like a deviation from the norm for some groups of mates, but there are options available to make it a bit special.

For a day out at Old Trafford, Matchday VIP at Manchester United offers the ideal combination of football and hospitality to provide a stag party to remember. The experience of the day includes champagne upon arrival, a 3 or 4 course meal, complimentary drinks and some of the best seats in the house to watch the match - there's even a Q&A session with a legend from the club's past.

The Manchester United Matchday VIP packages are available for individual matches of your choice, across a variety of different suites; they are the perfect way to start any football fan's stag do.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

A slow trundle around arable countryside might not seem an obvious choice for a stag party, but how about doing so with a big shotgun you're allowed to fire?

There are numerous clay pigeon shooting ranges around the UK which offer the chance to test your wits, nerve and concentration against each other, or perhaps just to see if those computer gaming hours can be transferred to a real-life - albeit mock - hunting scenario.

With no animals but plenty of clay targets to be harmed in the process, a day out at the shooting range can give your party a thrilling experience day.

Track Day

Assuming you aren't Jeremy Clarkson, very few people get to spend much time hurtling a Ferrari round a race track with their friends, so a track day can offer give you the opportunity for a bit of motoring exhilaration.

Whether you are a novice or consider yourself a bit of a handy driver, there are a wide variety of different track days available from Porches to Rally cars for you to spend the day racing against each other in something a bit quicker than a standard Go Kart.

Due to the speed (and value) of the cars, there will always be instructors and tuition on hand to ensure that you can have the best possible stag experience and avoid any unsightly neck braces on the wedding photo's.

Zorbing

Zorbing: the art of throwing oneself down a hill in a giant inflatable orb, what's not to love? For a fun lad's day out on a stag weekend, then there is plenty of excitement to be had at a Zorbing venue.

Typically there are different options available where you can ride individually, on hills of varying degrees of slope, or opt for the inevitable carnage of up to three people in an orb at the same time.
