Amanda Holden says one of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent hopefuls has the SuBo effect – and said it’s easy to misjudge someone on first impressions.
Speaking at the press launch of the show, which returns to ITV1 this Saturday, Amanda admitted that she ‘didn’t expect much’ from 19-year-old singer Michael Collins when she first saw him.
Expectant father Michael is seen auditioning for the talent show wearing a bright orange hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms and admits that he lives in a caravan in Plymouth.
Amanda said: “It’s a difficult thing, it’s like the Susan Boyle thing, somebody walks on stage and you completely judge them as you see them and it’s always a surprise and it’s always a bad thing for us to do, but it’s human nature.”
