Celebrity Big Brother evictee Stephen Baldwin has tipped Dane Bowers to win the series – despite claiming he is using demonic powers to get his way.

The born again Christian – who got the boot from the house on Friday night – told the News Of The World, “Dane is really smart and funny. But he may be utilising the forces of darkness.”

Footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones remains favourite to take the series title, but Baldwin added, “If anyone thinks Vinnie is a shoo-in to win because of his fame and reputation I think Dane is a serious threat and contender.”

Bowers is now the second favourite to win the show, according to the bookies, after he successfully completed a secret task in which he had to wake the housemates screaming, pretending he had had a nightmare.

However Baldwin mistook his shouts for a demonic attack – and said that Bowers wasn’t the only housemate who was in touch with the dark side.

“There’s a presence of darkness in there and it’s only going to get worse as the stress continues,” he said. “There are a couple of people in there who have demonic manifestations. Things will get very tense.”

He went on to describe fellow housemate Nicola T as “creepy” and admitted he had been afraid of Jones. “I felt fear every second of every day. I think Vinnie could lose it in the house,” he said.

However Baldwin did have kind words for some of his fellow housemates, including Stephanie, whom he admitted to having a “platonic crush” on, and Alex.

“He’s got a heart of gold,” he said of the cage-fighter. “We’re friends and I’ll support his fighting and acting careers.”
