The producers of Celebrity Big Brother 2010 have taken extra steps to keep the stars of the show apart – even going so far as to change their hotel.

According to The Sun the participants were staying at a luxury hotel near the studio, often used by the England football squad – but they have now moved, and are all staying in suites on different floors to ensure they don’t see each other.

And security is so tight that producers are even reportedly referring to the celebs under codenames, so as not to give anything away.

“Keeping the celebrities a secret and away from each other is a total nightmare,” an insider told the paper.

“They will ideally meet on screen for the first time. It might be a TV show but it’s run like a military operation.

“The producers want people to gasp when they see the line-up and don’t want them being photographed beforehand.”

Ten celebrities are due to go into the house on Sunday January 3, but a dining table with 12 chairs in the house suggests that there may be some late arrivals joining them.

Former footballer Vinnie Jones, Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, actress Stephanie Beacham and pop star Dane Bowers are among those rumoured to be taking part.
