Kym Marsh on being good mates with Alison King as things kick off between Michelle and Carla

Kym Marsh has revealed she has a great relationship with her Coronation Street co-star Alison King, giggling together like silly girls between takes.

On screen Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Carla (Alison King) are about to have a massive falling out when Chelle discovers that her best pal has gone and done the dirty with her son Ali in Corrie.

However, Kym reveals that she has a great laugh with Alison during filming, saying: “We giggle like silly girls. The thing with Ali is she gets her words mixed up sometimes.

“We had a scene in the factory; it was quite a serious scene and she said the wrong thing but kept a really serious face.

“I was wetting myself laughing. It’s things like that that make you good mates. She’s super supportive, too. If you ever need anything, she’s always there.”

Point blank: Michelle (played by Kym Marsh) confronts Carla

Meanwhile, Kym reveals that Michelle is “furious” when she catches Carla and Ali enjoying a clinch at a dinner party she’s thrown.

“She feels so betrayed. Carla tries to defend herself, but she says something mean, and Michelle goes off her nut.

“She’s like, ‘Get out, I don’t ever want to see you again!’ In Chelle’s eyes, Carla is like Ali’s auntie. Her other son, Ryan, always called her Auntie Carla, so for her it’s the same. They have quite a showdown.”

Coronation Street continues on ITV.
