Cold Case Files
In the past murder, rape and other gruesome crime cases
have been shelved because the police cannot solve them. Whether the fingerprint
and DNA technology isn't sophisticated enough to catch a killer or there are
simply no leads to imprison the culprit - hundreds of cases sit in the dusty
archives waiting to be reopened by the cold case team. With a refined knowledge
of forensic science and new evidence to work with, now the police solve the
cases that were unsolveable 20, or even 10 years beforehand.
The Cold Case Files detail at the times when detectives
and even the victims decide to investigate these unsolved cases. From the story of a criminal's childhood
memory of his sister's death, to the use of mass DNA testing to find a killer -
these detectives find the clues to solve crimes as many as 30 years old. In
Cold Case Files, the guilty are finally brought to justice.
Cold Case Files screens Monday-Friday at 10pm
