Doctor Who

Doctor Who comes back with a bang this autumn as Matt Smith's Time Lord does battle with his arch-rivals the Daleks! As the series returns for the first of five new episodes, The Doctor, Rory and Amy are captured by the Daleks. But rather than have them exterminated, the Daleks send the trio on a deadly mission– to go to the Asylum of the Daleks, where a crashed spaceship has caused a disaster...'Asylum of the Daleks isn't really what you'd expect and there are some huge surprises,'reveals Matt.'That makes it all the more frightening.'During this series, the Doctor will also be in the American Wild West, clash with the Weeping Angels again and face rampaging dinosaurs. It's also the end of the era as Amy and Rory– played by Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill – leave in heartbreaking circumstances. And Matt will be sorry to see them go.'I'll miss Karen and Arthur terribly,'he says.'But I'm interested to see what it does to the Doctor to lose them.'The Doctor won't be on his own for too long though– it was announced earlier this year that ex-Emmerdale actress Jenna Louise Coleman would play his new sidekick, who will first appear in the Christmas special. Until then, expect plenty of action, suspense and intrigue as The Doctor attempts to rid the world of the evil forces at work...
