Julie Graham: 'We've made archaeology sexy' (VIDEO

Julie Graham has admitted to whatsontv.co.uk that she got a bit carried away while filming action sequences for her latest TV project.
Julie, best known for her role in TV's William & Mary, plays Professor Gillian Magwilde in Bonekickers, a new BBC1 drama that follows a team of archaeologists as they attempt to unearth mysteries from the past that are relevant to events occurring in the present.
The six-part drama, created by Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah of Life on Mars fame, fuses history with action-adventure, and Julie admitted that she found it easy to immerse herself in the role of Gillian.
"It was really good fun. I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't an archaeologist, that I was a 42-year-old mother-of-two."
She added: "I had to keep reminding myself that I couldn't do the things that Gillian Magwilde could do, so I hurt myself quite a few times but it was worth it.
And when asked why viewers should tune in, a confident Julie replied: "We've made archaeology sexy!"
Bonekickers starts on Tuesday July 8 at 9pm on BBC1.
