Ex Casualty star Sarah turns to teaching

Sarah Manners, best known for her long-running role as Bex Reynolds in Casualty, has turned to teaching to supplement her income.

The actress, who has been voted one of FHM's 'Hot 100 Sexiest Women' and one of Zoo's 'Sexiest TV Babes', reportedly left serious acting to spend more time with her computer salesman husband, Ben O'Sullivan.

Now, however, as the recession has taken its toll, Sarah, 34, has been teaching drama classes in London, according to the Sunday Mercury.

"Times are definitely hard in acting," she told the Birmingham-based publication. "There's not a lot of new stuff being made. The recession is hitting everybody.

"I've just had a couple of big auditions, so I'm hoping something will come from that," she goes on to reveal. "In the meantime, I've been teaching at the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy. I really enjoy it. It's so rewarding, seeing the children improve."
