James Corden back in new series of Doctor Who

James Corden will be appearing in an episode of the new series of Doctor Who.

James, who starred in an episode of the hit sci-fi series last year called The Lodger, will be returning for a guest appearance in episode 12 of the new series.

While the script is being kept under wraps, filming is said to be starting on location as early as next week.

James had previously not ruled out a return appearance on the programme.

Speaking to whatsontv.co.uk last year he said he would love to come back on the show: "I'm not sure if my character will be back, but I'd certainly love him to - it would be great. I was disappointed that I didn't get to go in the TARDIS, but Matt gave me a tour and it's such an impressive set. I feel very honoured to have been involved in Doctor Who."
