Kimberley Nixon dismisses Doctor Who rumours

Cranford actress Kimberley Nixon has dismissed reports that she is about to land a part in Doctor Who.
Kimberley, 23, has insisted that she has made no contact with the BBC1 drama, despite reports to the contrary.
It was rumoured that the actress - who also starred in Easy Virtue alongside Jessica Biel and Colin Firth - could join the new Doctor, Matt Smith, in an upcoming series.
But Kimberley told the Metro newspaper: "Absolutely nothing [is happening with Doctor Who]. They film in my home town so it would be good from a convenience point of view.
"I haven't heard anything - just what I've read in the papers. I haven't even auditioned."
There has been much speculation over who will be the Doctor's new assistant after it was revealed that 26-year-old Matt would be replacing David Tennant as the Time Lord in 2010.
Former EastEnders' star Michelle Ryan and singer Lily Allen are two names in the frame.
