Only Matt Smith for Doctor Who film, says Moffat

Matt Smith is at the front of the queue to play the Doctor in a new Doctor Who movie, writer Steven Moffat has revealed.
Harry Potter director David Yates recently revealed he is working on a big-screen adaptation of the hit sci-fi series that was likely to star a new actor as the Time Lord. But Steven has insisted there are no plans to hire a big Hollywood star for the film.
Steven told The Sun: "There are no developed plans for a Doctor Who movie at the moment.
"It's an incredibly exciting idea to get that magic blue box flying across our cinema screens.
"But if and when the movie happens it will need to star television's Doctor Who - and there's only ever one of those at a time."
He added: "The brilliant David Yates was talking off the cuff and a little prematurely."
Matt, 29, has portrayed the 11th incarnation of the Doctor in the fifth and sixth series. He has also been signed up to appear in a seventh series in 2012.
