Holby's James: 'I feel like a real doctor' (VIDEO)
09/06/2009 - 17:41

Holby City newcomer James Anderson is confident he could become a real doctor after learning how to carry out medical procedures on the show.
James joined the BBC medical drama on Tuesday night as student doctor Oliver Valentine, alongside his sister Penny, played by Emma Catherwood.
James told whatsontv.co.uk: "I actually feel like I'm a real doctor with all this training.
"We have real nurses on the set to make sure we're doing the right thing and, the other day, we were canulating a vein and I said: 'I reckon I could do this for real' and all the doctors freaked out."
And, despite having just joined Holby, it appears that James has already thought of his next career move.
He joked: "If I started medical training now, I could probably graduate as a doctor coming out of the show!"
