Hotel Babylon

Hotel Babylon

*The fourth series of Hotel Babylon begins on Friday, June 19 at 9pm on BBC One*

Ex-EastEnders' star Nigel Harman joins the cast as TV's most luxurious five-star hotel checks in for a fourth series.

It seems that even Hotel Babylon isn't immune to the effects of a recession and, following Charlie's departure in series three, Juliet Miller (Anna Wilson-Jones), has been hired as the hotel's new general manager to either shut down or save the hotel.

Concierge Tony (Dexter Fletcher) tries - and fails - to secure a deal with a wealthy Asian businessman, but he's got bigger problems when news comes of a terror alert in central London, and hordes of people seek refuge at the hotel.

Among the crowd is millionaire Sam Franklin (Harman), who's so impressed with the staff that he decides to buy Babylon. The staff are delighted with their new owner - all except for Sam's ex-wife, Juliet!

Meanwhile, it's business as usual at Hotel Babylon. As well as discreet concierge Tony, there's head receptionist Anna (Emma Pierson) who's always friendly, particularly if you're handsome and rich. And her front desk colleague Ben (Michael Obiora) is always eager to please - if a little naive.

Head barman Gino (Martin Marquez) and restaurant manager James (Ray Coulthard) see that all guests are fed and watered while newly promoted head of housekeeping, Tanya (Danira Govic), makes sure that guests have a comfortable stay.

Head of PR, Emily James (Alexandra Moen), wants Hotel Babylon to hit the headlines - for all the right reasons. But she certainly has her work cut out as there's plenty she hopes the public and press NEVER find out about!

Last series, Anna had a fling with Charlie, who decided to leave Hotel Babylon after a run-in with a loan shark. And Tony faced the harsh reality of what really goes on behind closed doors...

Special guests who have already stayed at Hotel Babylon include Chris Moyles, Kelly Brook and Danny Dyer. Series four will, of course, feature a whole host of famous faces, including Abi Titmuss, Kelly Osbourne and ex-Emmerdale star Amy Nuttall, who joins as new employee Melanie Hughes in episode seven.

And a familiar face returns too when Max Beesley's Charlie Edwards drops by - but he gets a lot more than he bargains for when he sees old flame Anna...

With a Bollywood-style wedding, celebrity magazine shoot, mafia gangsters and lots of guest stars checking in, series four of Hotel Babylon is guaranteed to keep viewers coming back again and again.
