Will rape and murder push Ben beyond the law?

DS Ronnie Brooks (Bradley Walsh) and DS Matt Devlin (Jamie Bamber) are called to a home where they find the body of a teenage girl. It looks like she died in her sleep except... the girl's mother says her daughter didn't sleep naked – and she’s definitely naked.
The detectives take a closer look around and find a murder weapon. They also have evidence that the girl was raped. And all that leads them to a likely suspect...
The alleged rapist is someone Crown Prosecutor James Steel (Ben Daniels) knows from the past. His name is Paul Darnelle and, if James is right, he's raped before – and he'll rape again. Dangerously obsessed, James gets close to breaking the law himself as he pushes the police to hound Darnelle, determined to put him behind bars...
