Rigaud pays Mrs Clennam a visit

Mysterious Rigaud visits Mrs Clennam's house, pretending that he's there on business. Although Rigaud is in no rush to reveal that he's in possession of the box containing her secret papers, Flintwinch soon realises the truth. Rigaud charms Mrs Clennam and she, little knowing the power he has over her, invites him to come back when he's ready to do business.

Elsewhere, after overcoming his disappointment at having his marriage proposal rejected by Pet, Arthur swallows his pride and agrees to be Gowan's best man. Arthur joins Mr and Mrs Meagles to discuss their upset at the union and reveals his bitter feelings about the marriage to Amy.

Meanwhile, Pancks has finally completed his investigations into the connection between the Clennams and the Dorrits and prepares to reveal his incredible discovery to Amy and her family...
