This brand new ITV1 comedy-drama centres on the goings on in the head office of fictional supermarket chain Buttersworth. But while comparisons to The Office are inevitable they aren’t accurate.
Monday Monday sits somewhere between ITV’s other popular comedies – Cold Feet and Benidorm – and has a broad audience appeal. Character and situation based, it contains elements of slapstick, misunderstandings, illicit relationships and office politics laden with deviousness. Basically, The Apprentice candidates have nothing on these guys!
The seven-part series deals with a mixed bag of workers who have relocated to Leeds. And, having left their friends and family behind, are forced to spend most of their time together...
