New Tricks star Alun Armstrong has a leading role in the BBC's new four-part legal drama called Garrow's Law, which is due to be filmed in Scotland this summer.
Based on the life of pioneering barrister William Garrow, the series will feature real legal cases from the Old Bailey of Georgian London, and will also star Lyndsey Marshall (Rome) and Andrew Buchan (Cranford).
Meanwhile, his co-star Amanda Redman has celebrated the 10th birthday of her Artists Theatre School. Amanda is the principal of the school, based in Ealing Studios, London, which teaches drama, music and dance to all ages. Among its patrons is Sheila Hancock, who plays Amanda's mother in New Tricks.
