Ben Miller's wife stars opposite him in Primeval

Ben Miller has revealed how his wife got a role in ITV1's creature feature series Primeval.
The actor said his wife, comic actress Belinda Stewart-Wilson (pictured with Ben), met the director to audition for the part with the director completely unaware of their marital situation.
The Armstrong and Miller star said: "She had been to a few meetings and at one of the meetings Cilla Ware, the director, said to her, 'Do you realise that you will be playing opposite Ben Miller, do you know Ben Miller at all?'
"At that moment she thought 'Do I keep quiet about this or do I say?' and she said 'Well, I AM married to him'."
Ben added that when Belinda had to audition by reading through with the rest of the cast, things became quite surreal. "I was in a weird situation of being in an audition with my wife. I mean it was all so weird. All we could do was pretend it wasn't happening, or you could go, 'La la la la it's not happening, it's not happening' and just pretend it wasn't really as potentially emotionally damaging as it was. Because if it hadn't worked out I don't know what would've happened!"
Ben plays Sir James Lester in Primeval, while Belinda stars as Christine Johnson.
The new series of Primeval starts on March 28 on ITV1.
