Primeval Hannah's S Club blushes

Former S Clubber Hannah Spearritt admits she's "embarrassed" when she hears the group's famous hits in public - and has no regrets about leaving her pop career behind.

Commenting on how she feels when she hears one of the S Club 7 singles blaring in a bar or club, the petite blonde says: "It depends what it is, but I'm generally embarrassed. I should be able to go, 'come on let's dance', because I am proud in a sense, but that was then and I wouldn't want to go back, although I'm glad I lived it," she adds.

Hannah, who is about to star in blockbuster ITV1 dinosaur drama Primeval, has no regrets about forging a new career in acting and doesn't plan to try and crack the charts again.

"I woke up the morning after the end of the band with a lease of new life, and I kind of felt at the time that there were opportunities out there," she reveals. "I do prefer acting but S Club was a great experience and I feel I was very lucky to have done that as well - to even taste both has been good for me, but I have no more ambitions to do any more singing."
