Robin Hood

The third series of the 21st-century re-telling of the Robin Hood legend. Once more, Robin leads the battle against the evil and corruption sweeping 12th-century England, but this time he's joined by several new characters and is without his beloved Marian.
Three months after Marian's untimely death at the hands of Guy of Gisborne, Robin returns from the Holy Land, but he's a changed man. Marian's death has left him fuelled by anger and grief and he's hell-bent on revenge.
He disbands his gang of outlaws and concentrates on killing Gisborne, but Robin is meant for greater things and a travelling monk, Tuck, helps bring our hero out of his downward spiral and back to his fight for freedom.
King Richard is still absent in the Holy Land and his treacherous brother, Prince John, plots to seize his throne. As England stands on the brink of civil war, Tuck knows that Robin is needed to help raise a people's army to fight for Richard. And Robin and his arch-enemy Gisborne may have to reach an uneasy truce when it becomes apparent they have more in common than they thought.
In addition to Tuck, this third series sees the arrival of several new characters, including Kate, a feisty Locksley girl who inadvertently gets caught up in the cause and is forced to join Robin's band, and Isabella, Guy's younger sister, who becomes a complication for both her brother and for Robin Hood...
And the climax of the series promises to be interesting, too, as Jonas Armstrong, who plays Robin, is bowing out to take on new challenges. And the BBC guarantees that Robin's exit will be unmissable!
