Jonas says Robin Hood shouldn't have been axed

Outgoing Robin Hood star Jonas Armstrong says the BBC One series had plenty of drama left.
Jonas, who died in the finale of the BBC One show, said: "I think it’s a shame. Someone was saying it’d lost its legs, but I don’t think so."
The BBC cancelled Robin Hood reportedly because it believed it had run its course.
But Jonas, 28, believed scheduling changes hurt the final series: "We were shown at different times (throughout the series) and for the final episode in which the hero dies and the villain dies - they shift it over to BBC Two, which I don’t think is great.
"[It got a] positive response, but hardly anyone saw it as everyone was watching Andy Murray at Wimbledon on the other channel! I was a bit upset and it was a shame it was switched to BBC Two as it was the best episode of the whole three years by a mile. We felt a bit hard done by, but what can you do..."
Jonas sad it was emotional leaving the series that made him a star. "Yeah, especially the scene when he’s saying bye to the lads. Usually there was a lot of banter going on between takes, but with this it was interesting as we all went off to different pockets of the forest getting ourselves ready for it. It was the culmination of three years of being together and we only did one take and all the emotion was there bubbling before we did it. It wasn’t hard to get the tears going. They were there for real!"
