New girl Kate turns against Robin
Saturday, 04 April 2009 18:25 BBC1

When the Sheriff agrees to sell all local men to Finn, the rightful King of Ireland, village girl Kate tries to save her brother, Matthew, from the conscription but he's caught by Guy of Gisborne and his cronies. Kate risks her own life for her brother but Robin saves her, and she agrees to join the outlaws as they try to save the conscripts. But Robin is soon captured, shackled and taken to Nottingham castle with the other men.
Kate sneaks into the castle to try and rescue her brother but she's recognised by Gisborne, who orders her brother's hanging. To save him, Kate tells Gisborne that Robin is among the conscripts. As Robin and the men fight for freedom, Gisborne kills Kate's brother - but as he goes for Robin, the Sheriff says he should suffer a slow death and locks him in the vault.
Meanwhile, an impressed Finn wants to team up with Robin to destroy Prince John. Although Robin rejects his offer, Finn still tries to set him free but is betrayed by his brother, Tiernan, which results in Finn and Robin being thrown in a dungeon. As the Sheriff and Tiernan take the conscripts to the coast, Robin and Finn manage to escape, and the pair race to the coast to save the conscripts...
At the coast, Gisborne and The Sheriff meet Prince John's men who are expecting payment but the two-faced Sheriff gives them Gisborne. Later, Kate tells Robin that she has paid her debt for turning him in and she never wants to see him again.
