Dev Patel tells his mum, 'No, I'm not engaged'

Dev Patel had to assure his own mother that he was not engaged after she quizzed him about internet reports that he was set to tie the knot.
The Slumdog Millionaire star's mother Anita confronted her son after reading online that he had popped the question to girlfriend Freida Pinto.
"I was like, 'Mum, I didn't, trust me - nothing's happened, everything is fine, I'm just shooting a film'," Dev told People.com.
The buzz around their rumoured engagement grew so strong that his mum had to clear up the stories herself.
"My mum will go to work and explain to everyone why they have written that her son is going to get engaged and got a wedding ring and how it's all not true," he added.
Dev - who next stars in M Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender - heaped praise on Freida, his co-star in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire.
"She's very inspiring to me and just great support. She's a great friend and amazing," he gushed.
