Effy and Cook rock the houseboat

Effy and Cook rock the houseboat

Effy and Cook are still on the run, sleeping rough and partying their way through every small town they come across. While Cook enjoys their outlaw status, Effy's beginning to struggle with it and the pair soon arrive in a one-horse town in the middle of nowhere. It's where Cook's father lives in his houseboat and they have a father-son-reunion...

It quickly emerges that Cook's a chip off his old man's block. And his old man is off his block! In a bid to clear his bar tab, he enters Cook in the annual steeplechase. If Cook can't beat the barman's son, Donnie, Cook Senior has to get out of town.

Meanwhile, femme fatale Effy has caught Donnie's eye and Cook ends up locking horns with him. Effy wanders off into the night and calls Freddie, begging him to help Cook. At a race the following day, JJ and Freddie turn up and also enter when Cook declares the winner gets Effy.

But it's a race with a twist - the twist being that they must run with a granny on their backs. JJ races home to the finish line, leaving Cook's rotten father minus one tatty houseboat.

The gang make their getaway in the boat, push Cook's father over the side after he threatens to melt Cook's face off - definitely not recommended by Supernanny - and they all settle their differences over a can of beer.
