Is Mickey protecting a murderer?

The conclusion of this two-part story sees DC Mickey Webb risking his job to protect a woman who DC Jacob ‘Banksy’ Banks and DS Max Carter suspect of murder…

Mickey has been sleeping rough among the homeless community to try to find a man called Greg. Witnesses say Greg terrorising the street people and the police think he could be linked to the murder of solicitor Jake Evans, a volunteer in the soup kitchens who was found floating in the River Thames. Greg (Ralph Ineson – Finchy in The Office) turns out to be a ruthless property developer who gets rough with homeless squatters who hinder his projects. But when the police talk to him, he insists he had nothing to do with Jake’s death.

Mickey discovers from Nicola, a homeless woman he has befriended, that Jake had been giving free legal advice to Lenny Wiseman, an elderly man Greg had hounded out of his home. Then Mickey and Nicola find Lenny dead…

Meanwhile, Banksy has discovered that Nicola had grown close to Jake and was due to meet him the day he died. Banksy and Max tell Mickey over the phone that he has to bring Nicola in but Mickey insists she’s innocent and that he’ll prove it.
