Mma Ramotswe and JLB get engaged!

At last! Mma Ramotswe finally realises that she rather likes mechanic JLB and they get engaged. JLB's over the moon and wastes no time in buying her a ring – complete with a sparkling Botswana diamond.
But, the course of true love never runs smoothly and her bitter rival, Cephas Buthelezi, causes trouble by bringing her violent ex-husband back to down for a gig. When Mma Ramotswe receives a disturbing message on her answering machine, she's afraid of what Cephas has in store for her. JLB realises that she's not her normal bright self and tries to get her to open up to him. But, when she doesn't, he's left feeling rejected and unsure of what's going through her mind.
Meanwhile, Mma Makutsi tries to work out who's broken into their office. She begins to suspect it's just kids as only coloured chalk, cake and a banana-shaped stapler have been stolen. Later, JLB realises he must show he loves Mma Ramotswe, So, he decides to act, and he's not the only one. Mma Ramotswe decides it's time to move forward and confronts her ex-husband. She's finally able to put the past behind her.
