Mma Ramotswe at your service!
Sunday, 15 March 2009 21:00 BBC1

'Detective work is not all bang, bang, bang, like it is in the movies,' says secretary, Mma Makutsi. Indeed, business is so slow for Botswana's leading female detective, Mma Ramotswe, she hires a young boy, Wellington, to drum up some business by dishing out leaflets.
While they wait for new clients, Mma Ramotswe keeps herself occupied by doing a favour for her close friend, mechanic JLB Matekoni. JLB's niece suspects the Nigerian dentist she works for, Dr Komoti, is having a mental breakdown. In order to investigate further, poor Mma Ramotswe has to book an appointment with the 'definitely disturbed dentist'.
Everyone's excited when they finally have a response to the leaflets but they're disappointed when a woman says she only wants to find her lost dog. But then Mma Ramotswe finally has something serious to look into when a lady called Petal asks her to find her missing husband.
Peter has been missing for two weeks and Petal fears that he may have run off with another woman. In fact she seems far more worried about that than the chance he may have been killed! Mma Ramotswe tracks down Peter's church and The Pastor claims that he simply vanished ‘body and soul’ during a baptism.
Not surprisingly, Mma Ramotswe isn't convinced by this explanation and finds a far more conventional reason for his disappearance. She also cracks the case of the 'definitely disturbed dentist' and puts business back on track.
