The No.1 Ladies have got competition!
Sunday, 12 April 2009 21:00 BBC1

The rather grumpy Rra Patel is unhappy with the progress Mma Ramotswe has made in finding out the identity of his daughter’s secret boyfriend. So, he threatens to take his business to Cephas Buthelezi, owner of the Satisfaction Guaranteed Detective Agency. Are the ladies in danger of becoming The No. 2 Detective Agency in town?
Cephas turns out to be a rude and arrogant man who accuses his competition of being unqualified. An outraged Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi decide to prove him wrong by snatching a client, local entrepreneur Meomi ‘Two Shots’ Pulani, from under his nose. Their job is to find out whether the contestants in a ‘Miss Beauty and Integrity’ competition are behaving themselves. Mma Makutsi is left in charge of meeting all the contestants to see how suitable they are.
Meanwhile, Mma Ramotswe finally makes progress with tracking down what Rra Patel’s daughter is up to. But Nandira Patel realises that she’s being followed and confronts the detective.
Elsewhere, Mma Ramotswe once again knocks back poor JLB. Hurt, he disappears on a solo fishing trip to distract himself and nurse his broken hurt. But, there’s still hope, as Mma Ramotswe finally realises her true feelings for JLB. It’s about time!
