Sunday, 06 July 2008 19:00 ITV1

It's Ken and Lizzie's last day at The Royal, but Lizzie's having doubts about leaving her job and friends behind. As Ken enjoys a farewell drink with Carnegie, Lizzie tells him she wants to stay in Elsinby. Later, the staff throw a surprise party for Ken and he's delighted when he's presented with a sign reading 'Dunporterin' for the new B&B.
Jill wants to admit addict Penny Darnby to hospital but she refuses to leave her father's home above a butcher's shop without her daughter Karen. Jill worries when Penny starts hallucinating, shouting for her dad to leave her alone. When Mr Darnby takes Karen home, Penny escapes from the hospital to collect her daughter and plans to run away.
At the butcher's shop, a row ensues between Mr Darnby and Penny, who picks up a knife. Looking for Penny, Jill and Ormerod arrive to find that Mr Darnby has been stabbed. As he's rushed to hospital, Penny reveals that her dad used to abuse her but thinks the police won't believe her because of her medical records. Can justice be done?
Elsewhere, fisherman Donald gets his hand caught on his boat and Dr Burnett is forced to amputate. After the op, Donald worries about how he will support his family, when Nurse Marian finds a drawing on the boat, and realises he's a brilliant cartoonist. In an effort to cheer him up, Marian buys him a drawing pad and easel.
