There's more baby drama for Dr Weatherill
Sunday, 29 June 2008 20:00 ITV1

It's Dr Jill Weatherill's first full day back since her hysterectomy and Ormerod doesn't want her dealing with any baby-related cases, but Jill arrives at the scene of a car accident to find a woman, Teresa, who appears to be in labour. As Jill tries to free Teresa she soon finds herself delivering Teresa's baby. But how will Teresa's baby affect Jill?
Dr Burnett admits some of Elinsby's homeless to The Royal for treatment, but with a bed shortage, he's forced to settle them into the private suite. When Carnegie arrives, he's horrified to find that his rooms are being used to accommodate the vagrants and orders Marian to clean the rooms before the next private patient arrives.
As Ormerod tends to telephone operator Doris Nightingale, she reveals that she overheard a conversation between Lizzie and Ken, who said that he plans to stay in Torquay and leave The Royal. Just as Carnegie learns that Ken will be resigning, Lizzie shocks everyone by announcing that she's needed in Torquay and will also be leaving The Royal.
Matron is shocked when the new student nurse turns out to be her niece, Susie Dixon. But Susie's first day doesn't go well when she's almost sacked for persuading Frankie to take her to the station in his ambulance.
