Barrowman: 'I want my own children'
23/09/2009 - 17:33

John Barrowman has admitted he's considered finding a surrogate mother to help him and his partner start a family.
The Torchwood star told Love It magazine: "I love spending time with other people's children but I definitely want my own. It's something I have spoken about with my partner Scott many times."
"I am 42 now and it would be fantastic to start our own family. We have considered surrogacy, and I'm not joking when I say that quite a few women have offered to rent me their womb and bear a child."
He added: "Some of them even insist that they want me to do the actual deed in bed, rather than rely on artificial insemination.
"Even though I am gay, I wouldn't rule it out - give me some Viagra and a blindfold and you never know what might happen."
He also said he would consider adoption but said he would adopt a British child rather than follow Madonna and Angelina Jolie and adopt a child from overseas.
He said: "I believe there are thousands of unwanted children from these shores that really deserve a loving home, too."
