Immortal Sins

Following last week’s shocking scenes where Gwen was told to take Jack hostage or her family would be killed, the Torchwood lass does just that! After knocking him unconscious with a stun gun and binding his hands and feet, Gwen’s forced to bundle him into a car and drive to an unknown destination – all her instructions being delivered via her special contact lenses.

It’s flashback time, too, as events go back to Jack in 1920s New York where he once hooked up with Italian immigrant Angelo. After getting together romantically, the boys join forces to deal with an alien. Then things get nasty between the pair when Angelo finds out about Jack’s immortality – he assumes his lover is the devil. After telling his family and neighbours about his ‘satanic’ friend, Jack gets shot and stabbed but everyone can see he won’t die. He’s badly hurt by the trauma, however, both physically and emotionally. Although, Angelo eventually rescues his lover from the violence, Jack feels betrayed and tells them what they had is over.

Past events link to the present day, when Jack and Gwen finally get to the specified kidnap destination. They meet some mysterious people who are instantly ambushed by Rex and Esther who had been tracking Gwen. But it turns out these people work for someone else who knows all about why the Miracle events have struck the world – it’s Jack former love, Angelo!
