Gwen’s at her parents’ house in Swansea, desperately trying to keep her father from the authorities who want to take him away for incineration. One particular jobsworth is causing her much distress.
She’s relieved then when Jack and Esther turn up to help her, but dismayed that child killer Oswald Danes has found her, too. Oswald proves rather useful, however, as he reveals secret information that suggests the Miracle events are connected to a strange phenomenon ‘The Blessing’ in both Argentina and China.
Plans are soon made for Torchwood missions to both hotspots, but PR woman Jilly Kitzinger is in Shanghai already where she’s been hired by the mysterious ‘three families’.
She’s introduced to The Blessing, a giant crack that runs through the middle of the Earth, which has a weird affect on all who experience it...
