BBC to bring back the Trotters
04/07/2009 - 15:35

The BBC has commissioned a one-off comedy-drama exploring the early years of Peckham's most famous dynasty, the Trotters.
Set in 1960, Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n' Chips will start filming in August and will feature a teenage Del-boy, the character David Jason (pictured) made so famous.
As well, a BBC statement said it will feature Del-boy's mother Joan, 'Peckham's answer to Brigitte Bardot', his work-shy father Reg, plus teenage versions of Boycie, Trigger and Denzil.
Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n' Chips will be written by Only Fools and Horses creator John Sullivan, though the cast has yet to be announced.
Mark Freeland, head of comedy at the BBC, says: "'Once upon a time in Peckham...' How incredibly tantalising. Nearly 30 years since Only Fools And Horses hit our screens, now we'll have the chance to see the vivid, bittersweet drama that underpinned the iconic series."
Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n' Chips will screen in 2010.
