David Schwimmer has apparently signed up to appear in the new series of Who Do You Think You Are?
The Friends star will trace his family tree in an episode of the popular BBC One show, according to reports in The Sun.
A show source said: "It's a tribute to the show that A-list stars are lining up to appear on Who Do You Think You Are?
"The last series had a great line-up with some very shocking stories and secrets unveiled. We have to do our best to make the next just as good."
David - who played Ross Geller in the hit US comedy - could follow in the footsteps of chat show host Jerry Springer, who was left in tears last year after discovering how his Jewish family fled Nazi Germany.
David is expected to follow a similar journey as he is also Jewish and his ancestors hail from Eastern Europe.
The 42-year-old has already met BBC bosses as he directed a lot of Little Britain USA with friends Matt Lucas and David Walliams in Los Angeles last June.
The actor-turned-director is also friends with British actor Simon Pegg, who he directed in the film Run Fat Boy, Run.
David's former Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow - who played Phoebe - is co-executive producer on the US version of the documentary show.
