Graham Norton has taken a half a million pound pay cut to stay with the BBC until 2012.
The presenter - who has signed the £4 million two year deal - used to get £2.5 million annually.
The contract means that he's tied to the BBC and will present a number of shows for the broadcaster such as Eurovision, the coverage of the TV Baftas and his chat show.
Graham will also host Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for the star of his musical The Wizard of Oz in reality show Over The Rainbow.
Jonathan Ross is in talks with BBC bosses as director general Mark Thompson wants to cut his pay by even more than the 50% the TV presenter offered.
A source told The Sun: "There is a feeling that the BBC may be better off by just getting rid of him."
