14/11/2008 - 13:05

ITV1 show Britain's Biggest Loser is searching for people to take part in the new series.
The reality show follows a group of contestants living and working together for several weeks to see who can lose the most weight for a cash prize.
The show’s producers are looking for very overweight people to apply in pairs.
Candidates can apply as a couple, husband and wife, siblings, parent and child or friends but must be between 18 and 50-years-old.
Contestants will live in a health retreat for eight weeks between January and March next year and will be filmed during their attempt to lose weight and transform their lives.
Karen Smith, executive producer of production company Shine said: "Britain’s Biggest Loser is much more than a reality show, it is a daily, real-life soap opera with inspiring personal journeys and unbelievable transformations which are life changing."
Previous winner Jodie Prenger, who is currently starring as Nancy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Oliver! after winning the BBC's talent search I'd Do Anything, lost over 8st.
The series has become a worldwide hit, airing in more than 90 countries and produced in 25 countries including the US, Australia, Brazil and the Middle East.
