Jonathan Ross is back from his ban... almost

Jonathan Ross will return to his BBC One chatshow on Januray 23rd when his three-month suspension ends.

The TV host will present Friday Night with Jonathan Ross at the usual time of 10.40pm and will also resume his Radio 2 Saturday show on January 24th.

Jonathan wrote on his Twitter blog: "Will let you know who is doing music on the show and guests nearer the date. Don't want to jinx things. 1st show already looking GREAT!"

He will also present a news series of his film review show, Film 2009, beginning on January 26th.

It is his first work for the BBC since he was suspended without pay for three months in October following his involvement with pranks calls to Fawlty Towers legend Andrew Sachs made on the Russell Brand radio show.

Following a national backlash which prompted over 30,000 complaints, comedian Russell Brand resigned from his show and has not returned to the BBC since.

Russell has found success in the US as a film star in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He will also play a 26-date stand-up tour of the UK, beginning on January 17.
