Rufus Hound wins Let's Dance For Sport Relief!

Rufus Hound has been crowned champion of Let's Dance For Sport Relief, after a closely fought battle against fellow performer Katy Brand.

The comedian won the final of the show - in which celebrities perform classic dances from the worlds of music and film in aid of the charity - after recreating Cheryl Cole's routine to her hit Fight For This Love.

Comedienne Brand - who performed her version of Beyonce's Single Ladies routine - finished in second place.

Rufus said of his victory, "I believe this moment defines me and history," before receiving his award from last year's winner, funnyman Robert Webb.

Earlier in the show he had received a resounding thumbs up from the guest judging panel, who this week included Webb, comedian Jack Dee and impressionist Jon Culshaw.

"I was loving that just like the audience," Culshaw said before breaking into an impression of Simon Cowell. "That's three yeses from me!" he joked.

Runner-up Katy also impressed the panel with her performance. "Jay-Z is out there somewhere wondering if he's with the right Beyonce," Jack Dee told her.

Others who made the final included actress Debra Stephenson, who paid tribute to Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal routine and presenters of the BBC show Grumpy Old Women, who dressed up as Lady Gaga to dance to her hit Poker Face.

GMTV presenter Kate Garraway - who almost missed out on the show after injuring her spine in rehearsals - also performed with co-host Richard Arnold, dancing Born To Hand Jive from the musical Grease.

However the sixth finalist, EastEnders' Cheryl Fergison, was unable to perform again due to a hamstring injury.

She was still eligible to win the final, and her routine to Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby from last weekend's show was shown again.
