Star-studded TV tribute to Gately planned

An all-star TV tribute to the late Boyzone star Stephen Gately is being planned for next Spring, according to The Sun.

The paper reports that the show, set to be screened in March, will see the other band members choosing which celebrities will appear and which songs will be sung.

"This will be an emotional tribute to Stephen with Boyzone and other special guests," a source said.

"Everyone is keen for it to be exactly as Stephen would have wanted, so Ronan and the rest of the band are having a major input.

"They'll be deciding which celebs are invited to make up the crowd and who'll be singing what."

Gately died unexpectedly in October aged 33, while on holiday in Majorca with his partner Andy Cowles.

"Nothing can ever bring Stephen back but everyone hopes the programme will show what an incredible person he was," the source added.
