The Hoff gears up for Dancing With The Stars

David Hasselhoff has revealed his daughters convinced him to appear as a contestant on the next series of Dancing With The Stars.
"I wasn't going to do it, then I heard someone fell out and my daughters said: 'Come on dad'," the Baywatch legend explained at the announcement of this season's line-up in LA.
David said he'd turned down numerous offers to appear on the show, joking: "It was quite easy to say no.
"I said 'no' for a long time and my daughters kept convincing me: 'Dad, you always tell us you've got to go for it'. I always said, 'No, it's not my forte, there's a lot of pain involved'."
The Hoff said his background in musical theatre put him off joining the popular US version of the UK's Strictly Come Dancing.
"I did Chicago in the West End, I did The Producers, and that was... a bear just learning those dance moves.
"The pain I went through was insane and I was terrified right until opening night when I was jumping out of an airplane.
"So I'm looking at this like, grab a dance partner, strap on and jump out of a plane. Hopefully we'll land safely!"
The star joked that viewers are in for a treat - they'll see him being tortured on the ballroom floor.
"If you want to see The Hoff in pain, becoming The Hoofer, check out the show," he said.
Other celebs taking part include Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Bristol Palin, singer Michael Bolton, Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey and The Hills star Audrina Patridge.
Bristol said her mum Sarah Palin had given her a few wise words of advice. "She just told me to be confident and stay true to who I am and that's what I'm going to do," the 19-year-old explained.
Dancing With The Stars airs exclusively in the UK on Watch from September 23 at 9pm.
