US channel casts its Del Boy in Only Fools remake

Renowned film actor John Leguizamo has been cast as Del Boy in the US version of iconic British comedy Only Fools and Horses.
Leguizamo, who has starred in films like Moulin Rouge Romeo + Juliet and Carlito's Way, will play Del Boy in the pilot episode being made by US network ABC.
According to BBC news, the show will be written by Scrubs writers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley and if the pilot is a success the series will screen later in the year.
In January ABC announced the network's plans to make a pilot saying it would follow the same formula as the British original in which two brothers 'concoct outrageous, morally questionable get-rich-quick schemes in their quest to become millionaires'.
The actors who will play Del Boy's brother, Rodney, and their grandfather are yet to be announced.
