Let's talk about sex

Keeping work and home separate was never going to be possible for new Head Teacher Karen Fisher (Amanda Burton) – especially when her promiscuous daughter Jess and bulimic son Harry are pupils at Waterloo Road and her cheating husband Charlie is on staff.

It’s Jess who gives Karen the biggest headache in this episode, which sees the school launch a sex education programme that means the hormonal teens can get their hands on contraceptives. That’s good news for Jess, who needs the morning-after pill. Chris finds out and is concerned, but Jess thinks this means he cares about her. It doesn’t, but he is in a very difficult position...

Elsewhere, Ronan and Sarah are freaking out because their condom broke while they were doing the deed; Janeece reveals to Tom she doesn’t want to be pregnant and Charlie admits his affair to Karen. Meanwhile, Josh kisses Lauren – but has his eyes on someone else!
