Lucy-Jo Hudson returns to Wild at Heart

Lucy-Jo Hudson is reprising her role as Danny Trevanion's daughter Rosie in the next series of Wild at Heart.

The 28-year-old actress, who is married to former Coronation Street co-star Alan Halsall, left Wild at Heart after series four in 2009, but returns home to Leopard’s Den well on the way to becoming a skilled vet herself. Danny (Stephen Tompkinson) is surprised to learn that his daughter is more than a match for him in their chosen professions.

However, Rosie discovers that in her absence the family have plunged into crisis following Danny’s new partnership with Ed Lynch (Robert Bathurst).

Rosie is also harbouring her own secret, and she worries what everyone will think of her when they find out what she’s done.

Lucy-Jo will re-join series regulars Stephen, Hayley Mills, Deon Stewardson and Olivia Scott-Taylor in the hit ITV1 South Africa-set drama.

The ten hour-long episodes from Company Pictures films for six months on location at Glen Afric on the borders of Gauteng Province and North West Province.

Wild at Heart has remained one of ITV1’s top four most-watched dramas since it launched in 2006.
