Former EastEnders actress Emer Kenny has admitted she would love to be more like feisty Zsa Zsa Carter, whom she played in the soap.

The 22-year-old actress, who is now starring in E4 sitcom Beaver Falls, admitted she still has a strong attachment to the show as she helped create the character in the spin-off EastEnders: E20.

“I loved her, she was so feisty,” said Emer. “She’s kind of what I wish I could be, in that she can say anything she likes to anybody. I wish I didn’t have to be polite.”

Not only did the actress help create the role of Zsa Zsa as part of E20, but she went on to become the youngest person ever to be accepted into the BBC’s writing academy which trains writers to pen scripts for their continuing dramas.

As such she has gone on to write scripts for Holby City – and revealed her excitement at having the chance to train on the course.

“I couldn’t believe they’d accepted me and I was so happy to have been given that opportunity; it was the most amazing training for three months,” she said.

“Just sitting there talking about stories and writing, it was heaven really.”
