In tonight’s men’s 100m relay, Team GB boasts some great sprinters in James Ellington, Adam Gemili, James Dasaolu and Chijindu Ujah, with all bar Ellington capable of running the distance in under 10 seconds.

So there is a very real chance of them getting on the podium. Which is fantastic, except for the fact that they will face the Jamaican team, led by Usain Bolt – an unstoppable, world-record-breaking force competing in what he has said will be his last Olympics, meaning this would be his final chance of a medal.

The Jamaicans, however, will be without their lead-off man Nesta Carter, so just how close will our boys push them?
