Of the opening games of this season’s Premier League, the seven-goal bonanza that was Arsenal v Liverpool was the highlight.

As the Merseysiders take on Tottenham Hotspur (kick-off 12.30pm) today, Spurs will want to ensure Harry Kane is more involved than he was in  the opener against Everton, because they rely on his  goals to become a consistent Top-Four team.

Later, Man Utd travel to the KCOM Stadium (kick-off 5.30pm, BT Sport 1) to take on Hull City.
